Movin’ On Up!

It’s been a slow week for The Arnold Weekly because…

THE ARNOLDS HAVE MOVED!!!

Can I get a “hallelujah”?!

We are so happy to have a house again! And not only that, but we’ve tripled our square footage. Our first house was perfect when we were a family of 3 + 1-on-the-way, but after the 4th baby, I was beginning to feel like Mother Hubbard. You know, the old woman who lived in a shoe and had so many kids that she didn’t know what to do?

Mother Hubbard, I feel ya.

But now we have a nice, big, gigantic, ginormous house to lose the children in!

Did I mention our house was BIG? Okay, this is not our house exactly, but it is much bigger than our old one!

Disclaimer: The above picture is not our house. I repeat, NOT our house. However, the kids pretty much think our house is the same size. They call it “The Castle”.

And when I say that I lose children in the house, it’s legit. I don’t mean call-the-cops legit, but I mean one moment I’m doing laundry while the 1-year-old plays with her baby doll and the next moment, “Has anyone seen K-girl? I’ll give a dollar to the first kid who finds their sister!”

You can imagine the epic games of hide and go seek we have.

We also have a creek–a very small creek, but a creek nonetheless. The first day we came out to the house after closing, we could hear the relaxing sound of water and the sweet chirping of birds. We watched squirrels run across our deck and scamper in to the trees.

And I was all, “Is this our house? Are we camping? Like, can we actually live here?!”

My reaction when I saw the house, like a kid in a candy store.

So, it’s safe to say we’reĀ loving the new house! And as my aunt says, “The Arnold’s are moving up to the East Side.” Technically, we are on the East Side of town.

Now excuse me while I locate the children again.
